Aarya demonstrates her commitment through her public awareness campaigns. She chose to change the perception of how we look at our cultural heritage. Aarya is not only advocating for ‘Preservation of Cultural Heritage’, but also creates change as a leader of transformative initiatives.

She has been a ‘heritage warrior’ since the age of 8. Aarya was named as, ‘The youngest citizen to take an initiative for conservation of heritage,’ by Governor of Gujarat, Shri. OP Kohli. 

Education Minister of Gujarat, Ahmedabad District Collector, Former Mayor and Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad, support her work for preservation of heritage through her creativity and lecture presentations.

In Sept 2018, Aarya presented her work on ‘Ahmedabad heritage’ at UNESCO Geneva, Switzerland to Mr. Bobir Tukhtabayev.

It was a proud moment for India when little Aarya was invited by Ms. Mechtild Rossler, Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Paris, to participate in ‘The Opening Ceremony of the 43rd World Heritage Committee in Baku, Azerbaijan.’ Aarya represented India and was honored to share stage with Her Excellency, Ms. Audrey Azoulay, Director General, UNESCO. She presented narratives from her book ‘Ahmedabad, my city my heritage’ in front of 2500 dignitaries from 180 countries, including ministers, ambassadors of international organizations, along with members of Azerbaijani government.

In April 2020, UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Paris invited Aarya to advocate worldwide campaign “Share our Heritage” to call upon children around the world to participate for ‘Little Artist’s exhibition’. Through this campaign, children from 55 countries shared global cultural diversity. It was a rare opportunity given to Aarya to bring positive message of hope and to engage children to enhance their understanding of global cultural diversity during difficult times of COVID- 19.

In January 2021, Aarya was invited as Guest of Honor in presence of Chief Guest, Hon. Union Minister of Environment, Govt of India, Shri Prakash Javadekar in award ceremony of “Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi”- National Environment Youth Forum 2021. Through her speech, she shared her views from her book “Seeds of Hope” on sustainable living, caring for climate. 25000+ students from 350+ colleges and 75+ universities across India participated in this forum to raise awareness on saving our environment.

 Through her passion for writing, Aarya has continued to inspire thousands of children. All of her books have been published in digital platforms like UNESCO Digital library and UNESCO Global Citizenship Education. Through these platforms, her books are read by readers of all age worldwide.

In her role, Aarya actively contributes in raising awareness through her campaigns. She sets a path for younger generation like her, and urges fellow citizens to take steps towards preservation of heritage and sustainable living.
