Aarya Chavda’s felicitation, speech and book launch at The British Parliament, London, UK

The Global Gandhi Awards Ceremony took place on September 21st in the esteemed setting of the UK Parliament’s House of Commons. The ceremony was a significant milestone in the ongoing Indo-British collaborative efforts. The aim of this prestigious ceremony was to recognize and honor visionaries who have made contributions to sustainability and social change.

In the esteemed presence of Members of the Parliament, Mayors, Assembly Members of UK along with distinguished dignitaries of Indian Diaspora, Aarya Chavda was honored with the prestigious ‘Global Gandhi Award – 2023’ at The House of Commons, British Parliament. As a part of the Indian delegation, Aarya was the youngest change maker to receive this award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to social change and sustainability and her dedication to making a positive impact on the global community. The Parliament event marked the book launch of Aarya Chavda’s 10th book, ‘Coming Together’, on environment. This book was launched by Hon, Virendra Sharma, Member of Parliament (Ealing, Southall), UK, Chair Indo-British All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPG), Nachiket Joshi, Organizer, International Conclave, IPS Veerendra Mishra, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Cllr Sunil Chopra, Mayor of London Borough of Southwark, Cllr Ramji Chouhan, Mayor of London Borough of Harrow, Krupesh Hirani, Assembly Member, and Vijay Goel, Founder of the Indo-European Business Forum.

During her 9 minute speech at the UK Parliament, Aarya emphasized that mitigating the climate crisis is our global responsibility as it is time for all of us to retrospect about where our priorities lie. We as the youth need to ignite our sense of responsibility as aware citizens and come together to make a change for a better future.
